CACHE Technical Workshop on Electrophysiology in Biological Systems
The main aim of the technical workshops is to provide the fellows with a portfolio of "know-how" of important methodologies and techniques within the area of physiology and molecular biology in relation to environmental climate changes. The techniques and methodologies are all state-of-the-art and to master this kind of will increase the attractiveness of the fellows in the labour market.
This TW 4, will focus on electrophysiological techniques to give a mix of theoretical lectures on the physical basics of electricity, their applications on biological systems with practical exercises to study electrical properties of cell membranes and epithelia with focus on cellular inner and outer membrane potential measures and epithelial diffusion chamber techniques using live epithelia.
Practical information
The course is organized by CACHE ITN and CCMAR and will be held at the Algarve University, Campus de Gambelas in Faro. Lectures will be held in lecture room, 3.24, in building 8, and practicals in the labs of the Molecular Endocrinology Lab.
