Brief description of the seminar
Aquaculture faces challenges from climate change that affect sustainable animal protein production. Our previous studies reveal that heat waves drastically affect male rainbow trout reproduction through redox imbalance and cortisol release, altering spermatogenesis. As part of the AQUAEXCEL TNA, the research aims to deepen the understanding of the molecular mechanisms that govern the negative impact of climate change on fish reproduction.
About the speaker
MSc. Laura Calvo Rodríguez, beneficiary of AQUAEXCEL 3.0 TNA at CCMAR, is currently doing her PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology in the Cell Biology Area of the Molecular Biology Department of the Universidad de León (ULe) in Spain.
This seminar will be hosted by Vincent Laizé.
