In this seminar, Dr. María Vila Duplá will introduce her research at CCMAR and present the main findings of her doctoral thesis. Her work explores how multiple global stressors, such as Saharan dust deposition and elevated temperature regimes, affect high-mountain lakes in the Spanish Sierra Nevada. Special attention will be given to the responses of microbial communities, including heterotrophic bacteria and phytoplankton, which play key roles in aquatic ecosystems.

This seminar will be hosted by Carina Mónico.
