In this seminar, Professor Angrisano will present her current work developing in vitro and ex vivo models of preeclampsia to identify novel molecular and epigenetic biomarkers that can improve disease monitoring and early diagnosis, as well as to evaluate the potential of natural compounds for the prevention and treatment of this complex pregnancy-related disorder.

This seminar will be hosted by Carla Viegas.

About the Speaker

Tiziana Angrisano, PhD, is a Professor of Genetics at the Department of Biology, University of Naples Federico II. Her research focuses on epigenetic regulation, as chromatin modifications and DNA methylation, in inflammatory systems. She has worked on skin and gastrointestinal infection in vitro models.

Her current project aims to identify epigenetic and molecular markers in in vitro and ex vivo preeclampsia model systems, for early diagnosis and monitoring of inflammation and the screening of new natural compounds.
