Rooted in the oak forests of southwestern Iberia, my work began with botanical studies of local flora and vegetation. These first steps grew into a broader natural history and ecological exploration, tracing the evolutionary and biogeographical paths of Mediterranean oaks. Through this journey, I connect taxonomy, ecology, and evolution to understand and preserve the living heritage of Mediterranean Oak forests.

This seminar will be hosted by João Neiva.
