Generic representation of Osmoregulatory role of the intestine in fish: Evolutionary implications

Our research focuses on salinity fluctuations that have been among the main challenges for fish species to thrive and colonize new ecological niches, such as rivers, estuaries, and oceans. In this regard, we look at primary membrane protein ion transporters present in the intestine to characterize their contribution to seawater desalination at two evolutive distanced species: the sea lamprey (Petromyzon marinus) and the Senegalese sole (Solea senegalensis).

The seminar will be held on November 27, at 13:30, online via Zoom platform.
Participation is free, but mandatory to register.  REGISTER HERE!
