CCMAR will participate at the "Researchers Night 2009", celebrated at 25th September, at the Ria Shopping (Olhão).
Researchers' Night is a European initiative that was first launched in 2005 to help the general public understand the importance of research in all European countries and promote research careers by bringing researchers closer to the people.
The event will be staged in over 200 European cities and although the activities will vary from city to city, they will all be staged on the night of the 25th September.
In Portugal it will take place in many cities: namely Lisbon (Jardins da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian); Oporto (Praça dos
Leões); Coimbra (Museu da Ciência de Coimbra) and Olhão (Ria Shopping).
This programme will feature various activities with
a focus on the research being conducted in Portugal. Researchers will
explain the work they do and also show some science experiments.
Researchers will also be invited to show at the stage their performance in arts, like theatre.
