A first moment where we will have Carlos Martínes, that works on Public & Government Affairs at The Good Food Instituto (GFI) Europe, can give a short presentation about GFI work. A second moment with a short presentation about The University of Lisbon Alt Protein Project (done by Diana Marques and Marta Esteves), folowed by a third momment of Q&A and open discussion on the topic.

The seminar will be hosted by Vincent Laizé

Good Food Institute Europe's work on alternative proteins by Carlos Campillos Martínez.

The seminar will present the Good Food Institute Europe's work to advance the alternative protein sector as a solution to make our food systems more sustainable, just and secure, including materials for researchers and opportunities to create alliances and partnerships.
 

Building an alternative protein hub at The University of Lisbon by Diana Marques & Marta Esteves.

This seminar will showcase the work carried out by the ULisbon Alt Protein Project to raise awareness, support the development, and enhance the visibility of alternative proteins within the University of Lisbon community. The co-founders will share their experience in creating and growing the ULisbon APP, offering practical tools and guidance for students and researchers interested in establishing their own alternative protein hubs at other Portuguese universities.

Carlos Campillos Martínez

Carlos Campillos Martínez is the Senior Regional Manager for Spain & Portugal at the Good Food Institute Europe. He leads GFI Europe's work for Spain & Portugal to become Southern Europe's alternative protein champions.

DianaMarques

Diana Marques

Diana Marques is an IST Bioengeneering PhD student, focusing her work on cellular agriculture. She is also co-founder of The ULisbon Alt Protein Project" and co-founder, and Executive Director of the Portuguese Association for Cellular Agriculture.

MartaEsteves

Marta Esteves

Marta Esteves is a Bioengeneering PhD student at iST. She has a Master's degree in Biological Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in the same course at IST. Marta started working on cellular agriculture during Master's and will continue through PhD.
