These courses start this September and will continue at least throughout 2011. Right now, five different courses, involving several knowledge levels and bird groups, are being prepared.
Students, teachers, tour guides, nature enthusiasts, local and foreigners alike, are welcome to these CCMAR events, which meet the recently recognized need for learning opportunities in this specific area.

Often an ally to conventional tourism, birding in the Algarve is already backed up by a growing community of fans and ornithology researchers. Furthermore, the region is already internationally highlighted as one of the most interesting birding areas in the country.

The courses will last approximately 20 hours each, mostly during weekends, and specially invited teachers (experiment birders and nature guides) with will be lecturing in English.

Visit ccmar.ualg.pt/discoverbirds to find a course calendar, application forms and lesson plans.
All that is left to do is to repeat the invitation: Go Birding!
