I completed my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Algarve - Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in July 2023. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Disease Mechanisms at the same institution, having started in September 2023. Alongside my studies, I am working as a Research Fellow at the Centre of Marine Sciences.

My main research interest is in human immunology and autoimmune diseases, such as Ankylosing Spondilytis and Crohn's Disease. I use zebrafish as a model organism to study these areas due to its genetic similarities to humans and suitability for in vivo studies.
