I was born in Oliveira de Azemeís (district of Aveiro, Portugal).

I graduated in Biochemistry in 2010 and obtained a master's degree in Analytical Chemistry and Quality in 2012, both at the University of Aveiro (Portugal). I completed my PhD in Chemistry (branch: Analytical Chemistry) in 2017, also at the University of Aveiro.

Between 2017 and 2018 I worked in an accredited laboratory, at the company Águas do Algarve. Between 2019 and 2020 I did a post-doctorate on removing metals from the aquatic environment.

Since 2020, I have been a contract researcher and have worked mainly with marine biotoxins.
