Dr. Monika Jadwiga Szynaka, who is an Early Career Researcher (ECR) in the Fisheries, Biodiversity and Conservation (FBC) group within CCMAR, is working within the thematic research lines “Ocean Health; Biodiversity Conservation” and “Exploring our Ocean; Sustainable Fisheries”. Currently, Dr. Szynaka is leading two projects, TramSel which aims to reduce the impact on habitat-forming species using a simply modified set net and IntuiClean which aims to co-create a cleaning device with local fishers to tackle the R. okamurae invasion. She is also a member of two ICES working ground - WGFTFB and WGING and of EuroMarine Oyster.
