Filipa Pinheiro is currently a PhD student at CCMAR, University of Algarve. Her PhD is part of the “Pacto da Bioecomonia Azul” project, funded by the Resilience and Recovery Plan of Portugal and aims to treat wastewater from the textile industry with microalgae so that the water can be recycled in the manufacturing process and the resulting biomass applied as biofertilizers closing the nutrient cycle under the concept of circular economy. She graduated in Biology from the University of Algarve and finished her master’s degree in Aquaculture and Fisheries at the same university.
