Teresa is an attorney, having graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto, and furthered her education with a Master’s degree in Private Law from the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University - Porto School. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Global Studies.

Teresa leads the legal strategy and ensures compliance across all operations, overseeing key areas such as intellectual property, contract management, regulatory affairs, migration, governance, and legal housekeeping, including labor law and organizational policies. Her role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including dispute resolution and support for tech transfer. She also provides strategic advice on risk management to align CCMAR scientific goals with industry standards.
