Project Summary

The project assessed the distribution of seagrass species and characterized the seagrass habitats in the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe.

Project Activities

We reported, for the first time, the presence of seagrass meadows in São Tomé and Príncipe,

and described the seagrass populations. We raised awareness about the importance

of seagrass conservation through environmental education actions in schools.
