1. Tell us a bit about the work you’ll be doing at CCMAR.
I will be working on the smart valorisation of marine organisms, with a special focus on salt tolerant plants (halophytes). This includes unravelling the use of natural products from said organisms in different commercial areas, such as the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and veterinarian, along with the sustainable cultivation of selected species.
2. What were you doing before you joined us?
I was working in CCMAR, as assistant Researcher, on the biological activities of marine organisms.
3. What are your interests and hobbies when you’re not doing science?
Apart from spending time with my two precious kids, I do Crossfit, Krav Maga and Zumba. And I love to travel, read, or just…doing nothing!
