The doctoral thesis of Regina Cunha, current post-doc of the Algarve Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR), was distinguished by the Malacological Society of London.

"Tempo and mode of evolution of the genus Conus (Gastropoda: Neogastropoda) in the Cape Verde Islands" is the title of Regina Cunha's doctoral thesis, who was now distinguished by the Malacological Society of London.

The work of the current CCMAR post-doc researcher will receive the annual award that falls on the first outstanding contribution in the study of mollusks.

Regina Cunha will be also the guest speaker of the Molluscan Forum, an event which will take place at the Natural History Museum, in London, on November 12.
