Leonor is currently a postdoctoral researcher at CCMAR within the AQUATECHinn project from Horizon Europe. She holds a PhD in Animal Production Science and Technology from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain). Her research focuses on the reproduction of aquatic species, from blue mussels to the European eel. Her expertise spans aquaculture, broodstock management, reproductive physiology and biotechnology, reproductive quality assessment, cryopreservation, gene expression analysis, comparative genomics, bioinformatics, reprotoxicity, and the effects of climate change on marine organism reproduction.
She has authored 12 peer-reviewed publications, received two research awards, and contributed as a researcher to four scientific projects. In addition, she has experience in scientific outreach, teaching assistance, student supervision, and laboratory management. She is open to project collaborations or simply meeting for a coffee and a good scientific conversation :)
