Patrícia Amado, PhD student at CCMAR/UAlg, received the best poster award during the 18th European Symposium on Organic Reactivity (ESOR2021), which took place online between 21 and 23 September.
The work presented by the researcher describes the development of a more efficient catalytic process for the synthesis of compounds with antiparasitic properties, which may be useful in the treatment of infectious diseases, such as malaria and leishmaniasis.
These results of the work were also recently published in the Journal of Organic Chemistry, a journal of the American Chemical Society.
